The Lindale ISD school board has been named the regional winner for the 2010 School Board of the Year (SBOTY) Awards. Lindale ISD will represent Region 7 as its nominee for the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Texas School Board of the Year competition which will be announced in September.

Maureen Bogowitz from Athens ISD and Barbara Puckett from Tatum ISD have been named Elementary and Secondary Teachers’ of the Year by Region 7 Education Service Center. Both of these educators will represent Region 7 as its nominees for the 2011 Texas Education Agency (TEA) Teacher of the Year. |

Region 7 Head Start Health Training Carnival
Region 7 Head Start/Early Head Start employees have devoted the summer months to preparing for school’s start in August and servicing the approximate 2300 students and families that utilize their services. To better prepare these family service workers and advocates, Region 7 Head Start will hold a pre-service health carnival, Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Region 7 ESC, from 12:45 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
