This workshop series is designed to support school and district leaders, business officials, and special education staff in navigating the complex requirements of special education funding. Participants will gain practical knowledge and strategies to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while maximizing resources to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

Through interactive sessions, real-world scenarios, and opportunities for collaboration, participants will leave with tools and resources to strengthen fiscal stewardship and promote equitable access to quality services for all students.

Feeling stressed about IDEA-B Maintenance of Effort (MOE)? This workshop is designed to make the process clearer and more manageable. Learn what functions are included in the calculations, how program intent codes (PICs) fit in, and how to determine your LEA’s level of effort and compliance. We’ll also cover exceptions, when and why to submit them, and strategies for proactive budget planning and documentation.
