BASIC SERVICES:

• Provide professional development opportunities for school safety and security through face-to-face training, webinars, and online courses.  Training topics include, but are not limited to the following:
• Emergency Management (including Emergency Operation Plans, Appendices, and Annexes)
• State-required Behavioral Threat Assessment (BTA) team member initial training 
• Safety and Security Committee Operations
• School-Based Law Enforcement
• Standard Response Protocol - Standard Reunification Method
• Legislative updates
• Technical Assistance for the Sentinel platform (new)
• Provide up to two half-day, in-district, face-to-face professional development sessions upon request. Training topics include, but are not limited to:
• Sentinel 
• Behavior Threat Assessment Processes and Procedures
• Standard Response Protocol w/ Situational Awareness
• Safety and Security Committee Operations

• Provide state-required Department of Public Safety initial Guardian certification, or refresher course, for one member of the district’s Guardian team. Training will include classroom and range portions.
• Assist with the 3-year audit by providing Student and Teacher & Staff surveys to be used by the district
• Provide ongoing support to ISD Police Departments, as well as Guardian and School Marshal Programs.
• Provide districts with training to perform the statutorily required 3-year Safety and Security Audit.
• Provide technical assistance to the Behavior Threat Assessment Team. 
• Provide on-site and remote technical assistance in reviewing the Emergency Operation Plan before submission to the Texas School Safety Center.
• Provide technical assistance related to school safety grants and required reporting. 
• Provide support during an emergency upon request.
• Provide support and technical assistance before and during the DVA process
