Denise Richmond
Denise has her master’s degree in Special Education with certification as an Educational Diagnostician. Her background includes teaching in the elementary and middle school grades as a general education teacher and holding certifications in Arkansas and Louisiana. Denise was part of a district Transformation Zone as a Response to Intervention specialist. This work involved guidance and support to campus leadership teams as they implemented the districts restructure of the Multi-Tiered Student Support Policies. Denise served as a Specialist at the Region 7 Education Service Center, providing training, technical support, and coaching in foundational reading and mathematics, MTSS (the Multi-tiered System of Supports), Child Find pre-referral requirements, special education, inclusionary practices, and data-driven instruction.
Denise currently serves as a Strategic Integration Liaison (SIL), supporting school systems in building leadership capacity to implement effective, sustainable systems that improve outcomes for all students. In this role, she helps districts strengthen Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) by aligning evidence-based prevention and intervention practices and promoting meaningful access to inclusive general education environments for students with disabilities.
Using data analysis and systems coaching, Denise works alongside district leadership teams to identify needs, strengthen system-level processes, and support long-term organizational change. She also collaborates with the Texas Education Agency, Education Service Centers, and school system staff to develop and share resources, tools, and professional learning materials that support the design and implementation of effective system-level practices.
