Blended Learning

Region 7 is a proud partner of the Texas Center for Blended Learning (TCBL).  The TCBL is a continuation of the Raising Blended Learners program funded by the Charles Butt Foundation.  The Texas Center for Blended Learning coalition includes the following Education Service Centers: Region 4Region 7, Region 13,  and Region 20

The long-term goal of this partnership is to develop systems that enable these initial partners to scale and support best practices in blended learning. The aim is to extend these capabilities to additional service centers until every region in Texas can effectively support blended learning, ultimately benefiting all Texas schoolchildren.

When students are authentically engaged in rigorous instruction that challenges them and is personalized to their educational needs, they take greater agency over their academic journey.

Region 7 Digital Learning has been designated as an approved vendor for the LASO 4 Blended Learning Grant - Academic recipients. If your district has been awarded these funds, reach out to find out how we can support the Blended Learning work in your district!

Region 7 and the other ESCs involved in this partnership have also designated as a Coaching Pathway for the Blended Learning PD Reimbursement Program.  As such, funds allocated via rider 49 are available for LEA reimbursement for staff completing one of the programs provided by these ESCs. This opportunity is perfect for districts who wish to engage in Blended Learning practices but did not receive LASO 4 Blended Learning Grant funds or want to pursue this work in other content areas.
