  • Monitor ESSA spending and program implementation

  • Chapter 49 districts - For districts selecting the monthly payment option, the third payment for the current year is due from districts with excess local revenue to the state (Option 3) and/or to the partner district(s) for districts exercising Option 4

  • Spring is a busy time for our migratory families. We are gathering information in order to offer summer support for our migratory students as they gear up for the summer work. Priority for Service is given to the migratory students who have failed or are at risk of failing to meet academic standards.

  • Continue Private School proportionate share activities (federal requirement for submission of grant application)
  • Continue gathering CEIS/CCEIS data & documentation, as applicable
  • Complete semi-annual certification - Time & Effort/Substitute System of Time and Effort reporting procedures
  • Review notification regarding carryover & reallocation amounts for SPED Consolidated Grant; Continue reviewing maximum entitlement amounts; Amend budget as needed
  • Monitor special education expenditures from state/local funds (199 PIC 23/33/43) to ensure on track for IDEA-B Maintenance of Effort (MOE) compliance
    • SSA Fiscal Agents – share anticipated expenditures to be reported on 033 record on behalf of member LEAs (Required for LEA IDEA-B MOE calculations)
    • Make adjustments, as needed, to maximize use of funds
    • Calculate current year using preliminary MOE and exceptions, make adjustments as needed for compliance
