Federal and State Programs

- Begin budget calendar and budget process for 2026-2027
- Review/implement district/campus improvement plans in accordance with district planning process (TEC§11.251) (ESSA§1112, 1114)
- Ongoing consultations with PNPs participating in federal program equitable services (ISDs only)
- Collaborate with the business office to plan for any carryover from the 2024-2025 ESSA Grant
- Amend 2025-2026 ESSA Consolidated Grant Application to reflect any carryover or reallocation amounts once they are released by TEA
- Conduct the second formative review of the DIP/CIPs with all required stakeholders
- Plan, collect data, and begin holding required meetings to work on the 2026-2027 Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) (Must be a minimum of two CNA meetings held with required stakeholders at both the district and campus levels.)
- Monitor ESSA spending and ensure district is on track to have spent all grant funds by the end of the grant year (Sept. 30, 2026)
- If not already completed in January, ensure that the state, LEA, and campus-level report cards have been distributed to all school system campuses, parents of all enrolled students, and the general public
- For school systems that are eligible and plan to apply for the Small Rural Schools Achievement (SRSA) grant, the application will be emailed to the Superintendent directly from the REAP office at USDE
