Celebrating Region 7's UIL State Achievements – Spring 2025
We are incredibly proud of all our Region 7 students who showcased their talents at the UIL State Championships. While we've highlighted many accomplishments here, we recognize that some achievements might not be listed. Beckville High School:
Aiden Harris earned silver in the 2A Boys’ 110m Hurdles.

Evan Jitjaeng earned second place in the 2A Boys’ Pole Vault with a clearance of 15 feet.

Central Heights High School:
Andrew Bird won the 3A individual state golf championship after a playoff victory in Austin.

Chapel Hill High School:
The Chapel Hill ISD girls' track team won state in the 4x200, setting a record in 4A state for fastest time.

Elysian Fields High School:
Cara Sims broke the 2A state record in the Girls’ 3200m run, finishing in 10:47.51.

Gladewater High School:
Kingston Sheffield became a state champion in the UIL 3A Boys’ Triple Jump.
The Gladewater Girls’ 4x100m relay team — Adyson Evans, Paytin Thompson, Ki'zyah Miles, and Peyton Hunter — also brought home gold in their 3A state race.

Max Garvin won the 2A Boys’ Pole Vault, setting a new state record at 17 feet, 1 inch.

Lindale High School:
The boys' 4x400-meter relay team — Chad Ward, Kaden Baze, Nathan Bradford, and Colter Maya — took gold with a time of 3:16.35, helping secure Lindale’s first 4A Boys Track & Field State Championship.

Marshall High School:
Da’Trevyon Goudeau won gold in the 5A Boys’ 400m Dash, while Dameon Smith Jr. took silver in the 5A Boys’ 300m Hurdles.
The Mavericks finished 2nd in the 5A Boys' team standings with standout performances in the 1600m relay, 400m dash, and 300m hurdles.

Tierany Neighbors set a new 3A state record in the Girls’ Pole Vault with a height of 13 feet, 1 inch.

Brett Macias secured bronze in the 1A Boys’ 3200m run.

Cayt Jackson earned bronze in the 2A Girls’ 200m Dash, and Taylor Stewart secured bronze in the 2A Girls’ 400m Dash.
The Lady Bears placed 3rd overall in the 2A Girls' Track & Field division.
