Your neighbors figured it out. Now it is your turn to learn from them. SibmeCon East Texas highlights practical strategies that are already helping educators strengthen classroom instruction, coaching conversations, professional learning, and feedback cycles.
This is not just a “sit and get” event. You will see ideas in action, hear from educators doing the work, and leave with practical next steps you can bring back to your campus or district.

Keynote Speaker
Justin Baeder, PhD
Justin Baeder, PhD is Director of The Principal Center, where he helps senior leaders in K-12 organizations build capacity for instructional leadership. A former principal in Seattle Public Schools, he is creator of the Instructional Leadership Challenge, which has helped more than 10,000 school leaders in 50 countries around the world.
Through his work, school leaders learn how to confidently get into classrooms every day, have feedback conversations that change teacher practice, and discover their best opportunities for school improvement.
Built Something That Works? Bring It to SibmeCon.
SibmeCon East Texas is calling for presenters who are doing meaningful work with coaching, feedback, video, AI, and educator growth. If your team has found strategies that are moving the needle, this is your chance to spotlight your success and help schools across the region learn from what is working.
Breakout sessions will be 45 minutes long. Chosen presenters must commit to working with their Region 7 contact and presenting on June 16 at Gilmer High School.
