School Board Training

The 80th session of the Texas Legislature established a "required course of training" for all school board members. The purpose of this requirement is to prepare board members and the superintendent to work as a leadership team.

Region 7 School Board Training Services will:
» Provide all levels and types of school board training upon request of school district
» Maintain records of school board training issued by Region 7 ESC personnel
» Be committed to providing programs for all districts to help achieve the district's leadership team goals
» Maintain its state-approved sponsor status and will issue credit for training facilitated through the ESC.
