Aspiring administrators often wonder what it takes to transition from supporting instruction to leading a campus. This collaborative panel brings together experienced instructional coaches and assistant principals to explore the essential components of effective leadership. Participants will gain insight into the overlapping skills of both roles—such as building trust, fostering teacher growth, managing systems, and cultivating a positive school culture—while also examining the unique challenges and responsibilities each position carries.

Through real-world experiences and interactive discussion, panelists will share strategies for balancing instructional leadership with operational management, leading with empathy and accountability, and preparing for the next step in administration. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how these two roles work in tandem to support student outcomes and staff development, and how the lessons learned can shape their own leadership journey.
