Kilgore, Texas - Region 7 Education Service Center hosted its annual Food Show on October 21, 2025, at the Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview, TX. The event brought together child nutrition professionals, culinary teachers, and students for a day of learning, tasting, and exploring new food products and equipment.
The Food Show provided child nutrition directors, managers, and staff the opportunity to meet with more than 77 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in food products, kitchen equipment, and software designed to support school nutrition programs.
“This is one of our favorite shows to attend each year because it’s so well-organized and well-attended,” said one exhibitor. A participating student added, “All of this food is awesome!”—capturing the enthusiasm and engagement of attendees.
As part of the day’s festivities, over 15 door prizes were awarded to attendees who participated in product evaluations throughout the show. In keeping with Region 7’s spirit of service, all leftover food items were donated to the Highway 80 Rescue Mission.
The annual Food Show continues to be a highlight event each October, connecting industry vendors with the dedicated professionals who provide nutritious, appealing meals to students across East Texas. This event plays a vital role in supporting the mission of school nutrition – helping them provide healthy, appealing meals that meet student needs while fostering collaboration across districts.
