Region 7 ESC Employee Spotlight
At Region 7 ESC, we're proud to shine a light on the incredible individuals who dedicate their lives to making a difference in education. Our biweekly Employee Spotlight highlights team members whose passion and commitment help shape the future of our students. Through their hard work and expertise, they support both teachers and students across the region. This week, we're excited to introduce three standout employees who exemplify what it means to lead with heart.
Lacy is a custodian at Region 7 ESC and has been in education for 1 year.
"Needing a transition in the workforce, I was blessed to obtain a position after hearing about Region 7 and its value of their employees and the nature of a supportive work family. I love contributing to a welcoming and clean facility. When people coming in the doors have an inviting experience, I hope that carries on to a positive workday in our building."
Kim is a Reading Academy Specialist in Curriculum Services and has been in education for 35 years.
"I always wanted to be a teacher! I enjoy working with young students and watching them learn and grow. I came to Region 7 as a Reading Academy Specialist in 2020 when the HB 3 Reading Academies started because teaching reading is my passion. This allows me to work with teachers individually through classroom visits and coaching to implement best practices in their classrooms and help their students reach their full potential in reading and writing. I love being a part of the RLA team and Curriculum Services!"
Sheri is an Education Specialist in the Head Start Department and has been in education for 32 years.
"I knew I always wanted to teach early childhood. It is rewarding when they experience the joy of learning something new. Watching their eyes light up with excitement as they grasp new concepts, is truly fulfilling. I know that these early learning experiences will shape their future understanding and love for learning.”
