Region 7 ESC Employee Spotlight
At Region 7 ESC, we're proud to shine a light on the incredible individuals who dedicate their lives to making a difference in education. Our biweekly Employee Spotlight highlights team members whose passion and commitment help shape the future of our students. Through their hard work and expertise, they support both teachers and students across the region. This week, we're excited to introduce three standout employees who exemplify what it means to lead with heart.
Beth is a Financial Services Accountant in the Information Management Systems (IMS) Department and has been in education for 2 years.
"With over 30 years of experience in accounting, including 20 years at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center, my passion for service-oriented organizations led me to transition into education. My desire to support schools in a financial service capacity brought me to Region 7 ESC, where I now proudly contribute alongside a talented team, working together to make a difference."
Melissa is a Coordinator in the Center for Effective Schools Department and has been in education for 27 years.
"I have a deep passion for working with kids and supporting those who are dedicated to helping them grow. Over the past 27 years, I’ve been fortunate to serve as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator at both the district and campus levels. My role at Region 7 has given me the opportunity to pull from my experiences in the field and support the frontline educators who make the greatest impact on schools across our region."
Monica is a Student Support Specialist II in the Head Start Department and has been in education for 20 years.
"With 20 years of teaching experience, my journey has been deeply influenced by the mission and impact of Head Start. I have a strong passion for working with young children, especially those often viewed as underdogs, and I find great joy in their humorous and refreshing outlook on life. I am equally committed to supporting and mentoring new teachers, helping them grow with confidence and purpose. My passion extends to advocating for Head Start at the district level—demonstrating how the program enriches teaching staff and fosters meaningful collaboration between early childhood and K-12 educators."
