Summer Workshops to Build Student Resilience

Summer is just around the corner, and with it comes the perfect opportunity to learn new skills to support your students. Region 7 is thrilled to offer three powerful professional development workshops this June, all designed to help you meet your students’ emotional and academic needs with renewed energy and confidence.

Many of you have shared that your students are struggling to manage overwhelming emotions and rising anxiety. To help, we’re bringing in expert voices with practical strategies that make a real difference.

On June 9, Region 7 ESC will be hosting Chris Scheufele, also known as “Chris in the Classroom.”  Chris is a best-selling author, certified CBT practitioner, former Teacher of the Year, and a comedian.  This will be a high-energy, humor-infused training focused on resilience, emotional regulation, and school-parent connections.  In this workshop you will gain practical, research-backed strategies to help your students regulate their emotions, resolve conflict, and engage parents.  Participants will receive books by Chris!
