Sandi Bristow, Palestine ISD, becomes a 2024 National Board Certified Teacher.

I've been at Palestine ISD now for a 16 years or so since you're here had a split in between I take career technology which is with dental assisting saying a patient care Tech phlebotomy Bristow is a huge part of our City's success whereabouts and I see our kids really jump in with what she's doing she stays Innovative one of the things that we've always ask teachers in our department is to be experts in their field and with her obtaining Menasha certification that just helps her knowledge of a material even more as I'm always trying to reach out to learn something new and with this new generation I was hoping to learn how to reach out even better in the classroom for national board certification for me personally it allowed me to do a law of reflection because I wasn't national board is it's a reflection of what you're doing as an educator to help your students and it give you a chance to do one-on-one with each student in a large class and reflect on what did they personally need national board certification impacted my teaching because it allowed me to quit looking at the classroom as a whole to look at each child individually it was quite lengthy but well worth it and the kids know what you're doing so it impacted because I was able to encourage those Kit to reach for the stars I would say that in the last 12 years that Miss Bristow has a has helped somewhere around five hundred or more students get some type of certification that they could use out of the real world for a job in Palestine Texas with the healthcare system that we have and the nursing homes and things like that what Miss Bristow does help her kids truly provides job employment openings for them and it's a great services supervisor for our community in the classroom the students love coming to her class and let me know we're really excited that we get to celebrate her because she's taking on this extra piece and it brings a lot of recognition to our campus and it gives our students you know that model of pushing forward in and being better every single day he brings a lot of expertise in this area and is able to show them Hands-On and students really like to be with her in the classroom and learn from the things that she shows them everyday the impact that my family my friends and my always had specially for Chris Kaiser and Brian Howie for allowing me to have time off to go to region 7 for the trainings that took place my friends who disallowed me from going every day to social events because it takes up a lot of time and especially to my family who allowed me to go sit by the tree with a full internet block every bit of Internet so I could work without them I could not have done it part of the region 7 Hort has impacted my journey because without it I couldn't have done it Emily Foster LED this group to the to the 9th power he not only gave us the information but after giving us information she forced us to work in front of her when we're not allowed to pack up and not do anything and she was always bringing in video she's always bringing a new information she was redefining what was actually being told us but she dug deeper for us and we had no idea where the walls were and she actually created the foundation on the walls for us that without Emily Never Would Have Made It
