Annual Student Showcase

The Art of Education: Depicting the Joy of Learning
Region 7 is thrilled to announce our annual student photography and visual arts showcase, now open for submissions! This year's theme is "The Art of Education: Depicting the Joy of Learning."
This contest is open to students of all grade levels and categories, offering a fantastic opportunity to spotlight your artistic talents.
Exciting News:
We've teamed up with Young Audiences of Northeast Texas for this showcase. The grand prize winner's artwork will grace the cover of their 2024-2025 marketing materials. Additionally, other winners will be featured in Young Audiences of Northeast Texas and Region 7 ESC marketing materials.
Ready to be a published artist? Submit your artwork before March 8, 2024.
A panel of judges will assess all submissions, with winners tentatively announced by March 29, 2024. Winning entries will be displayed at the ESC and showcased in Young Audiences of Northeast Texas marketing materials.
Each school district may submit one piece per student. Don't miss your chance to shine!

We DO have a few rules:
  1. All students who are photographed should have signed a media release (district/teacher must submit this with each entry). If your district's release form is only covered for district use, you may access the Region 7 ESC media release form here.
  2. All students who are photographed or used in a digital art piece or video should be recognized in the submission (for example: "Johnny Smith, a sophomore at AHS, is seen cheering on the basketball team").
  3. All pieces submitted should be credited with the artist’s information (for example: "picture taken by Johnny Smith, sophomore at AHS").
  4. Pictures should be submitted in high-quality format (at least 300 dpi). Please refrain from using cell phone cameras and social media photos, as these diminish quality.
  5. Photography and Visual Art must be from the current year (2023-2024).
Region 7 and Young Audiences of Northeast Texas reserves the right to use the pictures and artwork in advertising and promotional materials. By submitting to this contest, you are agreeing to artwork being used with recognition to the artist.
Submissions should be sent to [email protected] with your district's name and school year in the subject line (for example: "RegionSeven ISD 2023").
Submissions can also be shared through a Google Drive folder with all art. A document can be placed in that folder with credit to the artist or photographer.
Submissions will not be considered without media releases and proper recognition.
