Whitney Sherman is a Special Education Specialist in the area of Behavior at Region 7 ESC. Whitney holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from UT Tyler and a Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education from UT Austin. In 2012, Whitney became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Prior to joining the Region 7 Special Education team, Whitney served as the Director of Autism and Behavior Intervention Services at the Andrews Center. Whitney has experience working with children, teens, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, ADHD, mental health diagnoses, genetic conditions, and traumatic brain injury.  Whitney is a doctoral candidate studying special education and autism at the University of Idaho and presents at local, state, national, and international conferences. Whitney is now focused on supporting Region 7 LEAs in developing effective MTSS systems and disciplinary practices to improve behavior and student outcomes.
