TPCP Applicant Information
The Region 7 Teacher Preparation and Certification Program (TPCP) offers certifications in a variety of areas. This is a performance based program that offers intensive instruction prior to and during the teacher internship. The curriculum for the program is aligned with state standards.

Minimum Application Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Passing score on the PACT TExES exam
  • Applicants successfully completing the application process, including criminal history check, documentation verification, and interview will be offered admission to the TPCP
Cost to Participants
Application fee:    $  100
Admission fee:     $  495
Program fee:       $4,725 - Payable in 12 equal payments
TEA ASEP Technology Fee  $ 35.00
State testing and certification fees

All fees are non-refundable.

Other Possible Costs

Extension fee: $200 per month for 1st extension (2nd year in program) and $300.00 per month for 2nd extension (3rd year in program)
Out-of-region fee: $500
