Region VII ESC is one of 20 regional education service
centers statewide that participates in the planning,
development, coordination, implementation and evaluation
of innovative educational programs.
Counties served by Region VII Education Service
Center include: Anderson, Angelina, Cherokee, Gregg,
Harrison, Henderson, Nacogdoches, Rains, Rusk, Sabine,
San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Panola, Upshur, Van
Zandt and Wood.
Education service centers do not have tax levying
or bonding authority, and rely on grants and contracts
for funding. Revenues are received from three primary
sources: federal, state, and local funds.
