Academy

The
Superintendent Academy offered by Region VII Education
Service Center is open to only Region VII Superintendents.
The Academy has many benefits, including the formation
and maintenance of a professional network of superintendents.
The training offered through the Academy is designed
to meet the state requirement of 200 clock hours
of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours
over a 5-year period. Approximately 40-50 CPE hours
will be offered each year through the Superintendent
Academy. The training offered focuses on the superintendent's
professional growth needs, as well as improving
leadership skills.
The
training services include: |

annual Needs Assessment in order to design Professional
Development activities to best meet the needs of
the membership |

Three
to five training sessions per year focused on leadership |

CPE
credit for training scheduled in conjunction with
regularly-scheduled TASA activities |

CPE
credit for Superintendent's Fall Retreat |
| >> |
No
additional fee for members to attend Superintendent's
Fall Retreat |

CPE
credit for Region VII Superintendent's Academy Breakfast
at Mid-Winter Conference |
