The Region VII ESC NCLB program provides technical assistance and staff development in the areas of Title I, Title I Part C Migrant, Title III Bilingual/ESL, and Title IV Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities. Title I services seek to ensure that all children have a high quality education by providing assistance with district and campus planning, federal applications and compliance reports, optional extended year programs, paraprofessional institutes, parent involvement, and state compensatory education. The Migrant Education Program assists districts in identifying and meeting the needs of children of migratory agricultural workers. The Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities services target drug use and violence prevention through activities such as parent involvement, after-school programs, community service projects, youth leadership training, peer mediation, classroom discipline strategies, and school safety procedures training.
